Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) is an excellent oneAnionic surfactants, which can be made from coconut. The molecular formula is R(OCH2CH2)nOSO3Na(R is 12 alkyl groups [7-8]), light yellow viscous liquid, soluble in water, with excellent decontamination,emulsification and foaming properties. It has good thickening characteristics and foaming ability, for example, adding 2%~5% sodium chloride can easily increase the viscosity of SLES system. It is often used in daily chemical industries such as liquid washing, meal washing, shampoo, bath washing, etc., and is also usedtextile,

papermaking, leather, machinery, oil exploitation and other industries. In cosmetics, SLES has a certain irritating properties and is not suitable for long-term use on sensitive skin and dry skin.

Application:

1).Detergent Industry:
It is widely used in liquid detergent, such as hair and bath shampoo, dish detergents, bubble bath and hand washing, complex soap
etc. SLES can also be used in washing powder and detergent for heavy dirty. Using SLES to replace LABSA, phosphate can be saved or reduced, and general dosage of active matter is reduced.

 

2).Textile Industries :
In textile, printing and dyeing, oil and leather industries, it is the lubricant, dyeing agent, cleaner, foaming agent and degreasing agent.
