3) Cosmetics: PG is used as a moisturizer, emollient and solvent.

4) Pharmaceuticals: PG is used as a carrier for drugs and as a granular agent.
5) Foodstuffs: PG is used as a solvent for perfumes and food colors, as an emollient for food packaging, and as an anti-adhesive.
6) Solvents: PG is used as a solvent in the resin, detergent, paint, pesticide and coating industries.
