Stearic acid is a saturated long-chain fatty acid consisting of 18 carbon atoms in a straight chain structure with the chemical formula C17H35COOH (C18H36O2). It is widely found in nature, especially in animal fats and certain vegetable oils. Stearic acid at room temperature presents a white solid form, colorless, odorless, with low water solubility and high solubility of organic solvents. In industry, stearic acid can be obtained through the hydrolysis of animal and plant fats, widely used in food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, plastics and rubber industries and candle manufacturing and other fields, is not only an important chemical raw material, but also as a functional additive for a variety of products.

1.Widely used as a cold-resistant plasticizer, stabilizer, surfactant, release agent,rubber vulcanization accelerator, etc.
2. Used for the determination of water hardness, as an activator and diffuser of acidification.
3. For the preparation of soap, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other organic chemicals.
4. Used as an emulsifier for oil-based drilling fluid. It can also be used as a lubricant and wetting agent in the rubber industry and textile industry.
5. Lubricant; Anti-binder; Gum sugar base agent; Defoamer and other food additives.
6. Used as a vulcanizing activator of natural rubber, synthetic rubber and latex, and as a raw material of plasticizer and stabilizer of plastics.
