Kojic Acid, an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H6O4, is mainly used as a whitening agent, food additive, but also as a preservative, freshness preserver and colour protectant. Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is a fat-soluble derivative of Triglyceride, which not only overcomes the shortcomings of Triglyceride's instability to light, heat and discolouration when encountering metal ions, but also, due to the absence of hydroxyl groups in its molecular structure, will not affect the efficacy of these additives by forming hydrogen bonds with preservatives, sunscreens or other active ingredients in the cosmetic system.
